2 Types of RSD

CRSP Type I

CRPS Type I can also follow soft tissue injuries. Soft tissue cases refer to the "softer" areas of the body, not including bones or joints. These injuries can range from minor to major depending on the injury. Close to 65% of all RSD causes involve injuries that affected the soft tissue. Examples of these injuries include burns, sprains, and tears. Most of the disorders that end in "itis" ; bursitis, arthritis, and tendonitis to name a few, also can cause RSD.

There used to be no way to quantify type one RSD/CRPS Type I. Now, new research is showing there may be ways. Stay tuned to this web site as we update this website with articles regarding the ways science is beginning to quantify Type I RSD.

RSD/CRPS II

RSD/CRPS Type II always involves some type of major nerve injury. Another name for Type II is causalgia.
