One of our second place recipients of the Memorial Fund is Lindsey from Avon Park, FL. After suffering a break in her left lateral ankle, Lindsey was diagnosed with RSD in the fall of 2009.
After completing her course work for her master's degree Lindsey applied and was accepted into a program that will help her transition into medical school. Lindsey would someday like to lend a helping hand to those in pain and offer them a sense of hope.
Our final recipient of the Andrea Gianopoulos Memorial Fund is Erin from Wilmer, TX. Erin first experienced RSD symptoms in August of 2006 afer surgery on her right knee to repair a torn ACL. After finally being referred to a neurologist Erin was diagnosed with RSD in early 2007.
Erin lives at home with her husband and two young daughters while attending the University of Texas at Arlington. Erin hopes to achieve her dream of becoming a licensed social worker so she can help as many children and their families as possible.
